Begin by heating the milk, cream, and vanilla in a saucepan until just simmering.
Whisk the egg yolks together with the sugar and cornstarch and food coloring. Should be real green.
Add a couple more drops if it’s not green enough.
Slowly add the eggs mixture to the milk mixture. Heat it slowly to allow the mixture to thicken. Use low heat to make sure nothing sticks to the bottom of the pan.
Pour into a glass dish and set aside in the fridge.
Meanwhile, mix together the sherry, whiskey and jam
Grab yourself a trifle bowl, or any kind of big glass bowl.
Tear up the donuts into 1 inch pieces and cover the bottom of the bowl, pour over your booze and jam mix, make sure it all really soaks through.
Cover the donut layer with your fruit and sprinkle the jalapeños over the top, that’s gonna give this a real good kick. Sprinkle the sugar over the top.
Now grab your custard and pour over the top of everything. Level the top of it.
Whip up your whipping cream with the powdered sugar until its really nice and thick. Pour that over the top of the custard.
Garnish with jalapeño slices, maraschino cherries and anchovies, make it look nice.
Chill it in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Enjoy?
